FSSAI has operationalised standards for fortification of food vide Order no. 11/03/Reg/Fortification/2014 (pt. I) dated 19th May 2017.
Ever since, there has been confusion in Industry regarding the usage of +F logo. So now, FSSAI has issued a direction which states that +F logo shall be displayed on labels of fortified food items as given in schedule-II of FSS(Fortification of Foods) Regulations, 2017.
It should be accompanied with the statement "Fortified with .................................... (name of fortificant)".
The statement "SAMPOORNA POSHAN SWASTHA JEEVAN" is optional and may also be given under the logo as given below:
