PURPOSE OF THE ROLE / FUNCTIONAL CONTEXT:
The basic purpose of this role is to lead the Quality Pillar at the site by developing Systems and Processes to ensure Zero Quality-related losses and develop the Organizational Capability required to build ownership of Quality Processes in core activities.
The incumbent will anchor the following agenda:
I. Build Robust Quality Management Systems and Processes to lead the site on a Zero Quality Loss journey:
The basic purpose of this role is to lead the Quality Pillar at the site by developing Systems and Processes to ensure Zero Quality-related losses and develop the Organizational Capability required to build ownership of Quality Processes in core activities.
The incumbent will anchor the following agenda:
- Lead the Quality Pillar and to develop and provide the systematic capability to assure:
- Zero product quality defects for our Customers and Consumers
- Compliance with all regulatory and company requirements
- Elimination of Quality related losses
- Build Capability of Team Members through coaching and mentoring to achieve the QM objectives as needed to deliver the CBN for the site
- Set up and Lead SSMT “ Special Situation Management Team” of site
I. Build Robust Quality Management Systems and Processes to lead the site on a Zero Quality Loss journey:
- Drive Quality Assurance through implementation of Mondelez QCMS at site during design and execution stage by active participation in Project Management processes to ensure safe and consistent product • Partner with the Manufacturing Team to ensure First Time Right Product as per CRQS • Ensure Sanitation design and control of the infrastructure is as per regulatory standards • Validate systems and processes during dry run, wet run and commissioning stage • Develop a roadmap for Quality Incident Elimination and Product Defect Elimination to ensure Zero Loss due to quality issues • Drive Gap Elimination to develop QA System Capability at the site • Develop the Product Defect Matrix and build checks and balances in the process to ensure product meets CRQS parameters • Manage Quality Testing Labs at site and developing the capability of the team members involved in the Testing process • Manage site related special situations and coordinate with central SSMT, train the team for preparedness of Managing SSMT • Analysis of Market Product Reviews to drive process improvements to enhance Market Shelf Quality of products • Review site Quality & Food Safety audit results and support Team Members in root cause analysis, and Corrective Action Preventive Action compliance • Lead Quality Audits as per Mondelēz policy and regulatory framework • Ensure that all the external certifications from Quality and Food Standard perspective are in place at the site • Prepare the budget and monitor spends versus budgeted costs on a regular basis • Engage with the Regional and Global Q&FS community to identify and adopt best practices across locations
II. Develop the Capability of Team Members to take Ownership of Quality Processes in core activities
EXPERIENCE:
- Develop a roadmap for Capability Building of Team Members in Quality Processes, Standards and Procedures to build and sustain a Zero Quality-related Loss culture at the site • Ensure the availability of resources to facilitate the Capability Building process • Build ownership of Team Members in quality processes equipping them for proper routine release and monitoring of raw/packing materials, finished goods and monitor trends and drive projects for process improvement • Coach team members for the regular assessment of Quality standards established for external vendors • Develop customer service mindset by training the Team Members to address and reduce customer and consumer complaints in a timely manner • Partner with the Manufacturing Team to ensure Zero Food Safety incidents at the site
EXPERIENCE:
Min 10-12 years of experience in the quality function (food industry preferred) • Subject Matter Expert in Quality Management Systems; experience in development of QMS Training will be preferred • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control • Thorough knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point) principles • Thorough knowledge of Quality Audit procedures & relevant food safety standards • Exposure to quality management / manufacturing in confectionary industry will have added advantage
